OUR STORY

  Since I was young, luminaries have always been a big part of Christmas. 

I love setting them up and walking at night through the beautiful hallways of lights with family and friends. 

I look forward to it every year! 

Though I cherish these memories, and I am hoping to see thousands of luminaries to help brighten our spirits during this crazy year, the real point of this project is to help others less fortunate than myself.

Luminaries For Love started in 2020 with a marketing push in our Wilmette, IL C.A.G.E. neighborhood to get people to use our luminaires on Christmas Eve.  

We are proud to have raised over $20,000 for charity in our first two years.

We anticipate donating around $20 per item ordered to our charities.

We encourage you to join our Luminaries for Love team by becoming a Block Leader, and look forward to even greater things in 2021 and beyond.

Join our team as a block leader or volunteer your time assembling our product or distributing flyers.

Walking around the neighborhood and seeing all the luminaries is one of my favorite Christmas Eve traditions.

 I feel fortunate to live in the beautiful C.A.G.E., and the main thing I want to accomplish with this charity is to support our Wilmette community while also helping those in need. 

I know that all of us have had a hard time the past few months since we haven’t been able to exercise the same amount of freedom as usual. 

Through Luminaries For Love we can brighten up and unite our community while also supporting less fortunate individuals. 

If we reach our goal, we can end 2020 on a high note despite the challenges we are all facing due to COVID.
